Today so far we have been designing our shoe that we have to make for Hemstock's jewellers. We had lots of idea's like we could make a high heeled shoe/converse/hi-top. Because we have to make our shoe link in Hemstock's we decided to put loads of gems around the heel and around the edge of our shoe. We made a moodboard and put on pictures of high heels, converses, hi-tops and high heeled converses. Also we are going to have laces and put like old rings around the laces and thread in beads.

Open

Last Tuesday we went to open in Norwich for a Media conference. There were 5 different segments, Music, Dance, Performance, Graphic design and Animation. I didn't find music and dance very interesting because it didn't relate to me. Performance was interesting because the speakers weren't just telling us about their life stories but they were asking each other questions and they were chatting with each other rather than just telling a story. I found Graphic Design and Animation interesting because that is what i would like to do when i leave school. They said how they got into working in graphic design and animation. When i leave school i'm going to do media at city college and then go on to do media at Bournemouth university. :)

Artefact

Today we went into Wymondham town and first me, hollie and holly went into hemstocks jewellers with another group and we filled and interview we had with the two ladies that worked behind the counter. We asked them about what type of things do they sell, what people buy from there, what are the jewellery and gifts made from, who provides the stock, when did hemstocks start and other questions like that. on thing we forgot to say about the artefact unit was about the shoe we will be designing to go in the shop. But the interview with the workers in the shop went quite quickly.

Campaign

After Me, Hollie and Holly went to the jewellers we went to the Red Cross Charity Shop. When we got into the shop we talked to the man who worked there. We then went into the office upstairs and he gave us lots of leaflets, posters and information. We then filmed the interview with him where we asked him about what kind of donations they get given, how much of the donations can they sell, what people come to the charity shop and some other questions. Also Holly told him how we were going  to campaign, what we were going to campaign about and that we are going to bring the donations that we get at the school into the charity shop. He told us that the red cross charity wasn't advertised much and people don't know much about them but they do a lot more than other people think, he gave us an example which was whenever a fire engine goes out, a red cross van goes out with it and has spare clothes and things to sleep in and they do loads more.
